Following the remark in #27 (comment)

And now I'm having second thoughts about the package-lock.json as I still can't get over how big of a change linting is. I'm thinking that maybe it's best to to set package-lock=false in .npmrc like you mentioned in the other issue. Though, funny enough the requests library stores it in the .gitignore!

According to twilio:

Lock files are super useful if you build an application like a web server. However, if you publish a library or CLI to npm, lock files are never published. Meaning your users and you might use different versions of dependencies if you use lock files.

So perhaps adding package-lock=false to an .npmrc would be better, since jomini is indeed a library.
