Was this ever fixed? In my case groc just hangs before generating anything if I change the root argument. No failures because of non existent paths, just hanging until I interrupt.
I guess I could go around this problem by executing groc in the same folder my project is, but that sound a bit hacky :/

Can you be a little bit more verbose regarding groc --root "./vendor/symfony/src" "**/*.php". Please provide at least the output of groc … until it hangs, if there is any ….

Hint: you could run groc --verbose or groc --very-verbose to get more details …
