you're right, this looks like a bug, and I'll open a branch to address it, probably tomorrow. Recently the memory settings got migrated from a previous approach, and when you're not using memrec, the settings don't get set.

It should be happening here, but it is not:

Basically the helm vars need to get exported as env vars, those in turn get written to neo4j.conf by the docker container. I'll address this in the next few days, thanks for flagging it.

As a temporary work-around in the meantime, you can still use custom configmaps to pass that config to the pod in lieu of the helm chart doing it for you
