Hey @tjvantoll, can you explain a bit more what the issue is whit the image above.
When setting translucent
nav-bar the color lightens a bit because of the white color underneath it, which is expected.

Hey @vakrilov,
Sorry, I should have made my original comment more clear. The image does show the intended behavior of translucent
, but in my case I want the color of the nav bar to match the blue box right underneath it. If I set translucent
to false
the colors match, but I get the odd behavior I describe in NativeScript/NativeScript#1151 (comment).

I have seen the same thing. translucent
in {N} is not true translucent. Read my comment on how it should look like in the issue that TJ posted.
Setting the navbar to translucent
should not make the color "brighter" it is supposed make the navbar more transparent, so that you see the content behind it when you scroll.
Otherwise we have a navbar that shows a wrong color compared to the color-code.

Is it still valid issue?

@dtopuzov: Technically this is still an issue on the “start” and “end” branches for the JavaScript tutorial, but it’s not an issue with the new design. And since eventually we’ll update the JS tutorial to the new design, I think it’s a good idea to close this issue. If there are any problems with mismatched ActionBar colors that should be tracked on the NativeScript/NativeScript issue tracker. Closing.
