@matchmakers69 I can't see the issue in the CodeSandbox you shared. There's no gap between the label and the outlined border.

@matchmakers69 I'm guessing you're referring to this gap that I put a green box over?

If you inspect the rendered HTML of the OutlinedInput (maybe you already have), you'll see that the "gap" is actually several elements created by the FormLabel and NotchedOutline, the sizing is very dependent on the font-size, so even if the font size is all you change it's likely to have unexpected effects there

I don't think this is an issue with Material UI though!
