Don't know because this repo does not alter source code in any way. You can open a ticket to lens repo and ask about it.
So unless it is about produced binaries, issues will be closed
Or you can always use discussion section. That way, if any of the users questions same things, they can go and check it out.

yea this isnt fishy its used to sync environment variables between your native shell and the one used inside lens.
