Hi! Thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately, I think we're limited in how much we can do here, since Poetry's internal logic doesn't expect a pyproject.toml's version field to change partway through processing.
It looks like Poetry takes the version field of a path dependency as an absolute requirement. That is, pkg0 needs pkg2 at 0.0.0 exactly (because it's evaluated before the plugin runs), whereas pkg1 needs pkg2 at 0.100.0 or higher, and those can't be true at the same time.
One workaround is to change pkg2's placeholder version to match what pkg1 requires:
