Strange stack errors with Cyrillic unversioned files about git HOT 6 CLOSED

Btw, bash works very weird when i try to type in cyrillic letters. Is MSys forked or vanilla ? where should bug report go ?
Bash/MSys inability to egt cyrillic characters might be related to this issue. or not.

launched git gc - no crash, neither from bash nor from cmd

Hmm... I can't reproduce now too, but once I can continue work normally only after renaming all my comment files inside repo... Hope, I'll better understand it, if it happens again.

I also use TortoiseGit and Git Extensions, which can conflicts in encodings sometimes (experiences some troubles with repo settings), but I don't think, it provoke this bug.

yeah, i was surprised you did neither attached nor at least locally saved those stack dump and .gitignore

russian in .gitignore may be 866, 1251, UTF8 - that alone gives 3 different scenarios to test.

Hmm... It happened again, but It seems path-dependent, and can be fixed by 2 ways: removing russian file or moving repo folder to anywhere else.

For example, I decided to control my working folder of AkelPad (binnaries, full path is **D:\Soft\Текст\AkelPad**) using Git, and placed ignored file Заметки.txt there. Now it crashes when I try run gc, but works normally if I remove that file or move AkelPad folder to desktop.

Stackdump is here, and I also can upload whole folder, if it's necessary, but I don't think, it's very usefull.

I guess that we cannot do anything about this issue, and it seems @FallenPhoenix was not successful in debugging this further, either.

Realistically, therefore, I must admit that we'll have to keep this issue closed until some new developments help @FallenPhoenix to either debug it herself, or in the alternative come up with a recipe to reproduce the issue reasonably easily.
