The blob-detection function, getConnectedComponents currently blocks for way too long. (Often making the browser ask if it should be killed).

• Should be faster (algo is lifted directly from Wikipedia for now)
• Async, with a progress-callback
• Option for canceling the on-going operation (return false to the progress-callback?)
• Nicer output.

Selecting one pixel as representative in an image is daft. An area should be selected.

Helps with the UI-bound code.

(And the twitter bootstrap JS-code needs it...)

The blob-detector fails to link some neighbouring blobs in certain corner-cases.

The output need to contain discern cells, other matertial and the background. As the background is usually white, it should be easy to detect, and thus allow us to find the "other material".

Need some way to guess/determine/ask which found blobs are cells and which aren't.

I'm currently thinking about some kind of histogram, and using the blob, originally selected by the user, as the marker for the general size of cells in the image.

It should be possible to drag/drop images into the page to do image analysis on it.

Pimp stuff up with some CSS 'n stuff. Dawg.
