The only integration with a repository right now is the blame/etc. links used in the hg plugin, which can (and should be, for the moment) disabled. I'm currently working on a plugin that adds these links for all major VCS types (SVN, CVS, bzr, hg, git), so even that won't be an issue before long.

Thanks for answering my original question! I still think a clearer readme for those who don't already know what DXR is would help you.
