Can you use your xbox controller connected to your PC?. I use this setup and it works fine.

Hello guys,

I have the same problems with sound and controller and want to ask about two things which are really important for me:

  1. Is it possible to DO NOT stream sound to raspberry-pi and output it through my PC?
  2. Is it possible to use controller connected to my PC, but not to raspberry?

Both points do not work for me and I would like to stream video only. Thanks

Xfactorus, I dont think its possible to stop streaming of the audio to the pi. It will play through your PC anyway. You could try the latest build and build your own opus which should give you better performance and maybe also try overclocking your pi.

You can use the controller connected to the PC instead of the PI, this is what i use. To make sure it works correctly you need to rename rvinput.all in the nvidia folder within programs(x86) and programs directories to rvinput.old. This will then enable you to use your controller connected to your pc.
If you update nvivida experience then you need to rename this file again.

I finally fixed both problems (thanks again to scoobyd00).

As I still have sound lags even with the latest opus build and overclocked raspberry, I tried to make it play through my headphones connected to PC. But all the times I started limelight-pi.jar, sound automatically re-connected to raspberry and sound device was displayed as "NVIDIA HDMI out". It ignored my "default sound device" settings and the first thing I tried is removing NVIDIA audio driver. It did not help, so I disabled "NVIDIA HDMI out" device and it was fixed.

Gamepad worked correctly in Steam Big Picture but disconnected after launching games. So I tried the solution described above and renamed \Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\NvStreamSrv\rxinput.dll file and after that the issue was resolved.

Hope it will help someone with the same configuration.
