Thank you for sharing your migration code. I've added it to the wiki. Please let me know if it makes sense to you:
I also pushed a fix to master to your indexing problem. From now on we will not automatically create indexes on embedded documents. Please let me know if that fixes your problem.

Hi,

it does, except maybe that paragraph 1 suggests to add the array in code and paragraph 2 to use the dynamic feature. I personally did no perceive any difference in the migration (I first followed the original wiki, but then found the deployment process vs. versioning awkward and switched to dynamic which allowed me to deploy via git/capistrano and upgrade in one step).
But of course you have a lot more experience in this field, so...
Cheers,
Jan

@janlimpens I left in step 1 because some people, like me, may have turned on the option in Mongoid to not allow dynamic fields.
I assume you are also not experiencing a problem with indexing anymore. Please let me know if you experience any other issues.

No problem per se, @digitalplaywright. But I am under the impression that they actually should be created. But I lack both mongo understanding as well as collections big enough for it to matter :)
Ignorance is bliss.
Thanks!
