Rather than hardcoding i18ned titles like that, you could perhaps embed many titles in the model, with, say, text and locale as fields and then slug text in there?
That way you also get the possibility of adding new locales more easily in the future.
If you don't like the idea, feel free to fork. I'm pretty pressed elsewhere so can't show this little gem much love these days.

interresting idea, thank you (first real project with mongodb, I still don't think to all these kind of things we wouldn't really want to do with mysql..)

We have deprecated the ':as' option on master. The best practice for this particular scenario is to use embedded documents like @hakanensari suggested. We will close this for now, but please let us know if this does not work for you.
