I'm not dogmatic that binaries shouldn't be put under version control if it makes the life of many easier. Especially, for people which don't have a strong computer science background (e.g., quite some engineers) it is just frustrating to load down, or check out a Modelica library which doesn't work out of the box. Modelica libraries are expected to work by just loading them into a tool. If technically feasible, I don't want to break that expectation by users. This includes that the master development branch should work by just loading it into a tool.
