on a related note, when dragging a jack/pin the (temporary/in-progress) connection is not brought to the front.

There's a small issue in the current code.
You need to click 2 or 3 times for the plugin connections to be brought up.
(on the 1st click it brings the modgui up, on 2nd or 3rd click it brings up the connections)

Also, when you first load a plugin and made a connection right away the z-index values will not be correct.
See this:
I added the caps plugin and connected the swh to it.
