This is an application that will use the Github API to find a user and display their public repository names alongside descriptions of those repositories. October 14, 2016
- Be sure that you have Node.JS, Bower, and Sass installed on your computer.
- Clone this repository in the terminal of your computer.
- Navigate to the top level of the project directory (in this case, 'github-api') in your terminal
- Use the following commands: ..1. "npm install". ..2. "bower install". ..3. "gulp build". ..4. "gulp serve".
- Create a user key at github.
- create a file called ".env" in the top directory and put your key in it with the line "exports.apiKey = 'YOUR_KEY_HERE'";
- _Alternately you can view the project online at http://www.github.com/mmalcorn/github-api.git
- The program will allow users to type in github usernames and see the repositories of that username.
- Example Input: mmalcorn
- Example Output: address-book, address-book-php, anagram... (names of projects).
