Hi Taifun,
we are aware that the companion needs quite a bit of work. At the moment it does not do 'incremental' changes; it either changes it all, or nothing. I've also seen the security errors. Still a work in progress, but thanks for letting us now. Please add stuff to this report if you find anything else. Thanks!

There is new code for incrementally sending changes to the companion now. A new companion can be compiled from sources with ant PlayApp
