It's a VTF-Editor shortcut for now.
Uploading high resolution images to the spray importer has a noticeable hit on the quality of the processed image due to the lack of filtering when resizing images.
Proposal: use the Lanczos filter to resize high-resolution images.
For example, I have this 2712x2712 image:
The first image was resized to 724x724 in imagemagick using the lanczos filter, and the second was resized by uploading directly to the site (724x724 as well):
As you can see, the unfiltered image is much more pixelated than the image I pre-filtered.
This has a significant impact on the quality of in-game sprays as well (both DXT5, default sampling, filtered on the left and unfiltered on the right), not only with pixel quality but also with DXT compression:
Could you help me to use this for CSGO weapon skins?
I found out that windows users use a VTFedit editor, but I am unable to get it working on mac (found some version, but it doesnt open at all).
Here's the VTF file settings used in one video for TGA > VTF conversion for CSGO weapon skins.
The .tga file is 2048 x 2048. I tried a conversion with the current VTF-editor version online, but it doesn't display correctly on the CSGO workbench.

Hello. Not sure if you're still active here, but when importing a video of any length, it adds blank transparent frames to the end of the video. I'm pretty sure that's not intentional because before the spray loops, it disappears in game. I've included a short video showing the "preview" window. That's how the spray looks in game with transparent frames
Btw, thanks for your amazing effort in making this to begin with. I'm very happy with it :)

Use more direct methods than a common multiplier, like counting blocks of image data. Also update the size only on changes.
for some reason it adds a blank frame that makes the animated spray flicker in-game.

It'd be nice to have the ability to only have x amount of mipmaps for fading sprays. that way you could have your spray fade slowly or fade fast
