You'll also need to specify the path of your queue.

The path is made up of your AWS account number and the queue name, so your above example should work if you do something like

function createClient() {
    return aws.createSQSClient(config.awskeyid,
                               config.secretkey,
                               {secure:false});
} 

function sendMessage(queue_path, message, callback) {
    var sqs = createClient();
    sqs.call("SendMessage", {
        path: queue_path,
        MessageBody: message
    }, callback);
}

"queue_path" should be the path at the end of the URL returned by a call to CreateQueue: http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/AWSSimpleQueueService/2009-02-01/APIReference/index.html?Query_QueryCreateQueue.html
