I should add a generator to build an ability & associated unit test, I've opened #11 to track this.

Something like the following gets the basics, but some sugar could be added to make it cleaner:

import Ability from 'app/abilities/person';

module('Ability - Person - canEdit');

test("allowed if admin", function() {
  var person = Ember.Object.create({
    isAdmin: true
  });

  var ability = Ability.create({
    model: person
  });

  ok(ability.get("canEdit"));
});

It would be nice to have a moduleForAbility helper so you could just do something like:

moduleForAbility("person");

test("allowed if admin", function() {
  var person = Ember.Object.create({
    isAdmin: true
  });

  ok(this.ability(person).get("canEdit"));
});

from ember-can.
