Milvus building index requires at least 1024(a config) numRows in the collection and the inserted data needs to be flushed. 256 is too small to flush and index automatically. But we could force the data to flush just for test.

@bw-matthew Please try the following steps:

  1. increase insert entities count to 1024
  2. call collection.flush() after insertion
  3. create index

See examples/hello_milvus.py if you need any reference.

Why we set 1024 as the index limitation: It's quick enough to do brutal force calculation with nunRows <= 1024, besides the recall is 1.
