No, detected object are not unconditionally assigned an ID. That is due to the fact that the Tracker needs a certain number of consecutive successful ID associations before the track is confirmed. Hence YOLOv5 may detect 4 objects but one of them is still in the process of being accepted as a valid track

Sorry. I don't understand well.
Could you please explain the example below?

For example, in frame 1, 4 objects are detected and numbers are assigned to 4 objects. What is the reason why 1 object is dropped in frame 2 (numbers are assigned only to 3 objects)?

In the Tracker class you have an input parameter called n_init

n_init : int
        Number of consecutive detections before the track is confirmed. The
        track state is set to `Deleted` if a miss occurs within the first
        `n_init` frames.
