Extension uninstall leaves empty directories behind about vscode HOT 6 CLOSED

I cannot reproduce on OSX. Talked to Dirk, this isn't something that is easily reproducible and is not a blocker for 0.10.1.

I can't reproduce it on Windows either. I tried it with wakatime and backspace plus plus.

As mentioned in #1119, we need to track down the root cause for the incomplete uninstall, but we should also be able to recover automatically or assist the user to recover from such corrupted extensions.

Until there is a fix for the issue is there some guidance on how to manually uninstall/cleanup an extension? I have one that is misbehaving that I can't uninstall through the UI so it would be helpful to know for more than just this issue.

@jpierson you can go into ~user/.vscode/extensions and delete the extension's folder.

There is now cleanup code to make sure old cruft gets removed.
