Well, I signed up and had an Azure dashboard and was able to do some things but I now understand that was just an account. I later realized I also had to create a subscription. In any event, I got it working. :-)

We could improve that case by telling the user that they successfully logged in, but there are no subscriptions to work with.

Could you check if there is anything in the console (Help > Toggle Developer Tools) after it failed?

Here's a video so we can better track down what the issue is.

I found the problem. It seems that there are 2 levels of having an account with Azure. So although I had an account with Azure where I logged in and accessed my dashboard and everything else, I still needed to create a further account within that. Quite unintuitive.

@lee-40square Did you have no subscriptions at first?

@nick-beers... Are you the one that posted a review with the Azure Storage extension? We think this might be your issue if you have no subscriptions. (Azure sign-in is handled by this extension, not the Azure Storage extension.) We'd love to help you resolve if you can verify, thanks!

Another case is when asking for all known tenants and getting an empty list back. That will be fixed with #102 and might be what some reports were describing.
