Computer Vision SDK seems to have some problems dealing with "https" URLs directly. You may try "http" URLs, or use HttpWebRequest to get the response stream and then call the GenerateThumbnailInStreamWithHttpMessagesAsync(). We will figure the root cause.

@MisinformedDNA , the issue stems from the fact that the server (mrmen.com) is configured for TLS1.2 but ComputerVision SDK is not by default. Please visit https://stackoverflow.com/questions/22251689/make-https-call-using-httpclient/33091871 for more details.

You may try adding the following code in your project:

I just copied the code from the stackoverflow post. If it does not work, you may need to wait new version of ComputerVision SDK, or use HTTP urls.
