I think what tripped me up is that I had an origin set from our previous work. I cant know for sure since I just deleted the team services account, and known hosts from /.ssh and started over. I finally got the login prompt from microsoft after doing all that and trying to push to team services. I cant really say what part of it fixed the issue.
