The issue is not with our framework but rather the driver itself. We tried doing testing with PhantomJS but ran into a lot of issues with commands taking a long time to complete. The login process took over 4 minutes to finish after we removed the timeout settings.
If you're looking for headless support you can look into Chrome Headless. We're currently in the process of testing that option for our internal testing group.
As for remote webdriver, we're working on that as well with Selenium Hub and Docker.

Yes I am looking for headless support.
I figured that you removed PhantomJs due to issues with JS and/or
performance. I have looked into running Chrome Headless but my customer
wants to use the EasyRepro Nuget packages for ease of maintenance, and I
agree with them.(The Nuget packages make maintenance easier and no custom
code in EasyRepro makes updating EasyRepro easier for them. I am a
consultant so eventually I go away.) This means that whatever I do with
selenium and the browser/headless model needs to be supported in
EasyRepro, since most of my code is to handle their customization.

I've updated all branches to include the headless setting. I'll work on getting the assemblies pushed to NUGET.

Just to make sure I am not missing anything. The nuget packages have not
been updated yet? Dates currently show as 4 and 11 Dec for 8.2.0.1 and 9.0
respectively.
