Hi @gujingit we don't currently support splitting models across nodes, only splitting across GPUs on a single node, and then having replicas on different nodes.

@mrwyattii Hi~ Does DeepSpeed-MII support multiple replicas on single node? For example, I have a node with 8 A100 GPUs, and I set the tensor_parallel is 4 and replica_num is 2. I find that at each time only 4 GPUs are working, the left 4 GPUs are just waiting. Just a bit strange!
