I know this issue is nearly three years old (wow, that's pretty old), but in issue #1 it was mentioned this should be fairly simple - Therefore I'd like to push this issue ... It would be lovely to have a hidden dock in the applications overview (to make more use of screen size; currently, there are 2x ~25% margins left and right [1]) which might overlay when the mouse is coming near. Hopefully this is even relevant to the issue and I did not misunderstand it. I took a look at the source code but I do not have any experience in writing GNOME Shell addons ... Which might not stop me trying to hack some stuff, but to be honest, I guess the original author is waaaay more capable of creating a clean solution.
PS: Thank you for your amazing work! I really love dash-to-dock.

Hi. I don't understand what you mean when you talk about the "2x ~25% " margins. Those are unrelated to the extension. I confirm it's not difficult to make the dock hide in overview, but it has to be done with a bit of care to not interfere with all the possible options. That's why I never implemented it so far. Any option which is added increase the possible combinations of settings to be tested and maintained and at the moment the development is a bit slowing down due to lack of time. But I'll keep it in mind for future releases.

Oh ffs, I'm sorry, I forgot about posting here! You are right, the margins are the same. I actually realized only the icons are getting smaller, that was my issue with it.
You're doing this awesome work for free, so no worries. It would be lovely to see this feature one day, but I got accustomed with how it works by now, so everything is fine :)

So... Any news about this feature? :(

This dock shadows tooltip of window title when hover on windows. Any workaround?
