[feauture request] switch windows on icon click about dash-to-dock HOT 5 CLOSED

Yes, I've just implemented the behaviour you suggested, and I like it! It's still experimental and a little buggy, but the idea is there. It's still in an experimental private branch with other ugly stuff, so you won't find it here.

I had a look at avant and docky. Actually I only found the possibility to switch window by scrolling over the app launcher, but this would be an interesting behaviour too. I'll try to put some more generic click customization - you want switch on click, other want minimize on click, other new window on click - in a future extension version.

You mentioned the "open new window" action. Inside the dash overview this is done by a drag n drop to the workspace (also works with multiple monitors, so you can drop it also to the second - right - workspace)

This is also a very good idea. Obviously I haven't implemented it yet, but I think it should be feasible.
