I'm having the same issue. It seems Meteor is sending files that the browser thinks are cacheable. Here is the response headers in my app's js file:

cache-control:public, max-age=604800
connection:keep-alive
content-encoding:gzip
content-length:506
content-type:application/javascript; charset=UTF-8
date:Thu, 19 Apr 2012 17:51:24 GMT
etag:"506-1334857883000"
expires:Thu, 26 Apr 2012 17:51:24 GMT
last-modified:Thu, 19 Apr 2012 17:51:23 GMT

Good catch! Hopefully fixed in the above commit. Will be in the next release. You can give it a whirl on devel if you like.
