After upgrading to 0.9.6 on OS X moments ago, the scss styling is no longer being applied on the initial bootup of the application. On a page refresh the styling still gets applied normally. In addition, after a hot code reload the application quit unexpectedly with the error Segmentation fault: 11.

😭 that's not good, I'll dive into why in a few hours for you(/everyone on Mac OS X)...

Is this related to "Package fourseven:scss has no compatible build for version 0.9.6" ?

Commenting so I could watch this issue. Thanks!

@JeremySaks can you try and remove and readd the package? I've made a new project and it's functioning as expected when adding it from the meteor package system.

@electricjesus I'm just looking into the linux versions now.

@fourseven awesome, thanks!

Sweet, whatever issues I had this morning with the linux builds have vanished, 32bit and x64 should be there for 0.9.6 🎯. @JeremySaks let me know if you're still having issues, otherwise I'll close this issue.

Checking it out, I'm on 'nux 32-bit.. it's stuck at 100% Downloading packages for a quite while now. Is this doing a build step of some sort?

from meteor-scss.

fourseven avatar fourseven commented on May 21, 2024

It's probably still propagating through the system, I have no idea how meteor's package manager works. The build is already done by me though, so no, it won't be that. The package is quite big, mind you, with node-sass bundled in it as well.

electricjesus avatar electricjesus commented on May 21, 2024

Ah if it's node-sass, then it's probably rebuilding with gyp. I see it whenever node-sass is downloaded with any package even with non-meteor situations

OK here's a bug, probably not your fault I think..

seth@p6-2277d:~/test-project$ meteor add fourseven:scss
[====================] 100% 0.0s   Downloading packages

^C
seth@p6-2277d:~/test-project$ meteor add fourseven:scss
  added fourseven:scss at version 0.9.6

fourseven:scss: Style with attitude and autoprefixer.

So the first one took too long.. So I canceled after 15 minutes (because that's around how long node-sass , node-gyp etc would take to build -- as per experience).

Tried adding again, turns out it added back after re-downloading fourseven:scss (as probably all the dependencies are already resolved/built). So I'm thinking, this might be a script completion/signalling problem?

@fourseven i removed and re-added and things seem to be working smoothly. I'm not quite sure what the issue was but it appears resolved. Thanks!

Cool thank you, not the best experience but at least it's resolved now.
