Debugging/logging about meteor-autocomplete HOT 5 CLOSED

I think this is already mentioned in the known issues. Can you be more specific about what you mean?

I've double-checked the known issues and future work, and there's nothing about debugging or logging there.

The feature I'm looking for is enabling debug output, just as the autocompletion package does by adding the following to your Template.template_name.rendered function:

AutoCompletion.enableLogging = true;

The text of your message seemed to suggest there was a bug or something, and that is what I was pointing to in the known issue.

Debugging is useful, but it seems more like a stopgap solution for proper test code rather than a desirable feature for a package itself.

Even after a full test suite is added, debugging and logging features would help track down new issues that won't be covered by test. Plus, is's probably far easier to code a logging feature than to write a complete test suite.
