How to use in a fragment? about dynamicbox HOT 5 CLOSED

try to use getView() instead of rootView

It also don't work. I think getView() is null.

Logcat show:
java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke virtual method 'java.lang.Class java.lang.Object.getClass()' on a null object reference
at com.example.demo.view.DynamicBox.(DynamicBox.java:53)()

In DynamicBox.java:53 :Class viewClass = mTargetView.getClass(); mTargetView is getView().

Don't touch fragment view initialisation on onCreateView
Move your DynamicBox to onActivityCreated

public void onActivityCreated(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onActivityCreated(savedInstanceState);
        DynamicBox mBox = new DynamicBox(getActivity(), MyView);
}

If issue still persists, try to wrap your fragment view using a LinearLayout or RelativeLayout
