@jonathanong Apologies for the late reply. I'd love to see how we can combine efforts in some capacity, even if that means you not working on it at all 😀. I'm still trying to figure out how to do this officially at GitHub though.

Cool! One thing that happened was it conflicted with my own styles. Might want to just use !important everywher

@jonathanong Even iframe sucks in some way, it's better to use the iframe since it separates the buttons and other context, which avoid all conflicts. That's why Twitter, G+ and other buttons services are using iframe.

@mdo I have made another javascript version that create automatically sized iframe just like other buttons services do. See #56.

yeah i'm cool with iframes. i just don't want to host the "server" on my own site and i need it to work with SSL. just having everything as JS and CSS is the easiest way unless github actually supports it.

I'd love to replace the static iframe stuff here with some magical JS. I'm cleaning up things right now and will try my hand at it soon enough. Alternatively, a massive PR to replace my old and busted might be welcomed after #65 gets merged. Still some things to figure out there.

@jonathanong Host it on a GitHub Page? https://pages.github.com/ Comes with free SSL, and the 'page' is the gh-pages branch of your repo.

I've been using this idea as the basis for building out a sample web component using Polymer, X-Tag, and just native JS with web component APIs. I'm not sure if you're interested in a web component implementation, if so I would have to build one out to a more stable state (I've kept them simple on purpose since they are for a presentation/training purposes).
