Redraw delay with a larger view using a NSTimer about mdradialprogress HOT 3 CLOSED

In setProgressCounter I call setNeedsDisplay but only after executing the labelBlock. If you are performing a time expensive operation in labelBlock that might slow down the redrawing. The second thing that might go wrong, but to be honest I'm not sure about it, is the call UIAccessibilityPostNotification. I don't think it's supposed to be called every millisecond, so maybe you could comment it temporarily and see if the delay disappear.

I've tried commenting the notifications but the delay is the same. As you can see on the example, i'm trying to do a countdown without expensive operation. Only substract the radial progress every milisecond.

redrawing every milliseconds is too expensive and in any case the human eye can't keep up so there's no benefit in doing it so often. Try to update the counter around 25 times per second. If you still experience a delay then it simply means that the rendering code is too slow. MDRadialProgress wasn't built with this kind of use case in mind.
