How does this look? I ran into a lot of issues with the git module. Seems like it doesn't raise exceptions on failures. I'll have to look into it more later.

@teran-mckinney The Git module is not as stable as it should be when running a high-number of threads. It may be needed to use GIT binary directly instead.
