Any bug in implement of Specular_Highlight_Removal?

I think there must be some bugs caused this problem, have you ever gotten the right result just like the result in the paper?
I think some boundary conditions should be added here:
specular_component = (Max(Max(R, G), B) - sigmaMax*(R + G + B)) / (1 - 3 * sigmaMax);

Instructions for running the code.

Can you provide a README file to help run the codes in a systematic manner instead of randomly running the files with random arguments. I have tried running the code in visual studio and it doesn't give any image output. Also, how can I run this code on Ubuntu 16.04?
