You mean the original Vi? You may check first what you are running, e.g. by pasting the output of vi --version. In case you have terminal Vim, then it should work. Note though, that some terminals have problems sending the correct keycodes for Alt keys.

Hi..thanks, I remap the key to ctrl and it works, seems a problem with the alt key and actually I prefer the ctrl key for this..thanks for the nice plugin!..
