I think you have the option to edit the sudoers file manually when running archdi.
It is a recommendation, so you have to do it by yourself.
You probably missed this step.

Can I add my user to group "wheel" using sudoers file?

Adding user to wheel is not a recommended action...
At this time archdi-pkg offer a solution to add your user to sudoers but...
I've planned to add a group menu to manage it...
