Perhaps the deployment target of some of the dependencies is set less than 10.2?

@pepas-everly I made a fork in the meantime of either my PR merging or the root problem being fixed if getting this working quickly is a high priority for you.

@CooperWolfe oh thank you so much! It isn't super critical, I just wanted to evaluate it because it looked like an attractive alternative to Apollo, but I can certainly wait a few days for a fix to be merged in.
