There seems to be several problems with German resources in the latest version.
It will be fixed in the next update, but for a workaround delete
XLD.app/Contents/Resources/German.lproj and use with English at this moment.

Has that issue been resolved? I am unable to select the tracks to edit when a
CD is not in the CDDB.

Yes, I think. I use Version 20111015 (136.4) in German and its possible to edit
the tracks
