Oh geez. And they're not included in the git repos. How can I programmatically collect all of these? Do I need to traverse the web interfaces and manually copy them all?

Hi @alecjacobson, when I go to the url you mention and click download (for an individual file) or download all (for all files) the file content of all the .markusurl files contains a valid url. Also, when I clone a repo it contains the files as well. So I'm not able to replicate the issue you are encountering. Is there any additional information you can provide that might help me replicate the issue?
Are you perhaps using the "Download Submissions" button on the Submissions page? When you click that button a modal pops up that includes the warning "Note: This will only download the submissions that have been collected.". Since none of the submissions have been collected for your assignment, this button will result in an empty zip.

ahah. Got it. I guess that was probably the problem. I solved it in a panic clicking my way through. Thanks for the speedy response in any case.
