@somaiyahr do you already have some serves and databases configured inside of MarkLogic?
Are there any exceptions logged anywhere? I don't see any errors.

@paxtonhare I could proceed further from hubPreInstallCheck in gradle mldeploy and now build fails in different task.
Note: Trying now with fresh MarkLogic installation on different machine.

This sounds like a Data Hub Framework issue not related to Smart Mastering. Can you log your issue in that project? https://github.com/marklogic/marklogic-data-hub/issues

@somaiyahr I also updated the README with some troubleshooting steps to clean out gradle and maven caches. https://github.com/marklogic-community/smart-mastering-demo/tree/develop/examples/smart-mastering#something-is-wrong
