Hi Michael,
Thanks for the suggestion! Since object watching does not address the goal of store.js (create cross-browser storage) I'm hesitant to add it. Perhaps you could write a library that uses store.js and provides object watching on top of it?
I'll close this for now, but let me know if you would like to continue the discussion.

Store.js v2.0 has been released with support for storage events and storage value observations: https://github.com/marcuswestin/store.js#user-content-list-of-all-plugins
If you update you will get this functionality plus a bunch more :)

@marcuswestin as per #267 This issue is now resolved. I mean, the event does not trigger on another tab.
