I would like to get information on the map without connecting the robot to the cloud. Most easiest would be to ask the robot for its coordinates and then making an own map. Then I could draw zones and let it clean in specific areas. Or do you know about any other solution? If I understood correct, I do not get the map without connecting to the cloud, I am right?

Imo this is right, you cant pull the map locally, at least not with the original firmware.

I tried to send it to coordinates like [0,200], [0,0] and [200,0], but its reaction makes no sense to me. Is there a specific scheme how the device maps coordinates?

This is indeed not possible with the standard software. The only way a map can be created without the cloud is to root it and install valentuo

AFAIK the only way to get the current coordinates of an unrooted robot is to ask it for the map name, then use the response to download the map from the Xiaomi cloud. The map file contains the robot coordinates.
