This is an app that I worked on, called Minrva. It is available on Android Play and is meant for usage by undergraduate students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This app helps undergrads a lot, especially freshmen, who are new to a university setting. Using this app, students need to take a picture of their assignment sheet. Using an in-house OCR and NLP techniques, the app would bring up a list of recommendations that would help the student to finish his/her assignment. This list would include print and online resources. The app also makes use of a location module that triangulates the location of the user based on the wifi signal strength and pattern and determines the current position of the user and guides them to the book stack.
