Hi, it looks like I've spoken too soon. The original loops do produce correct output and changing them results in incorrect output.

So for anyone who is building with a UBsan enabled, I recommend suppressing the warnings by adding an attribute at the function's declaration

attribute((no_sanitize("pointer-overflow")))
#endif
static int lzfse_decode_lmd(lzfse_decoder_state *s) {
...
}

Hmm... the website has stripped some underlines from the previous post: "clang" should be "clang" and "attribute" should be "attribute".
