App crashing when onLocationChanged is used about flutterlocation HOT 3 CLOSED

I had the same issue and am now using a Timer.periodic + "var currentLocation = <String, double>{};

var location = new Location();

// Platform messages may fail, so we use a try/catch PlatformException.
try {
currentLocation = await location.getLocation;
} on PlatformException {
currentLocation = null;
}" workaround
