Hi,
No, it is currently not possible to use liblxi to develop a discoverable LXI device. liblxi is strictly a simple client library that speaks the VXI11 protocol as used by LXI devices. What you need is a VXI11 server implementation that can be ported to your LXI device. liblxi does not offer that.
However, the next generation of LXI devices use the more efficient HiSlip protocol instead of VXI11 and I plan to add both client and server HiSlip support to libxi. Once that work is done it will be possible
to use liblxi to enable LXI support in instruments running Linux/microprocessor or even RTOS/micro-controllers.
